A. Water-based OCEAN^® Ultra Moisturizing Gel is formulated without petroleum-based ingredients and is designed for safe use around the nose and mouth.

Q. Is it better than just using Vaseline® on my nose?

A. Water-based gels may be safer for use around the nose than petroleum jelly, which has been reported to cause harm if it is aspirated into the bronchia and lungs.

Q. What is the hyaluronan ingredient?
A. OCEAN^® Ultra Moisturizing Gel contains specially refined hyaluronan, a naturally occurring substance found throughout the body, particularly in connective tissues. It binds with water to form a natural moisture cushion that lubricates and soothes the nasal skin, even after numerous tissue wipes. When the skin around the nose is rubbed raw because of colds, allergies, or dry winter air, this lubricating barrier of hyaluronan and glycerin can provide much-needed relief.

Q. Does it have alcohol in it?
A. OCEAN^® Ultra Moisturizing Gel is an alcohol-free product.

Q. Can I use OCEAN^® Gel inside my nose?
A. There has been no harm shown from using small amounts inside the nose for moisturizing.

Q. Can I use OCEAN^® Gel on my lips?
A. While OCEAN^® Ultra Moisturizing Gel is intended for use around the nose, there has been no harm shown from use on the lips.

Q. Can I use the Gel if I am on oxygen?
A. Patients who use supplemental oxygen, CPAP machines, and other respiratory aids can safely use OCEAN^® Ultra Moisturizing Gel.
